- (continued from previous page)and the two ends are tied with a cord to form the bow. A piece of a straight stick about a foot and a half in length is next got and a niche is put in one end. The other end is pointed. This is called the arrow. When the arrow is being fired the cord is placed in the niche. Then it is pulled back and let go and the arrow shoots off in the air.
