    lake. The fish is supposed to be guarding his treasure. This fish used to be seen very often in olden times but it is very seldom seen nowadays. A man named John Smyth saw a treasure at the bottom of the lake and by some means or another he managed to get it up to the top of the water. But try as he would he could not get it any farther. He called for help and the fish appeared. When the man looked round again the chest of gold was gone.
