    was passing reminded him that it was St Loman's day so he ceased working at once.
    There is an island on Lough Owel called Church island on which he had his own cell and Church. The ruins of another church are to be seen at Portloman down near the lake. The monastory was there too.
    St Loman is buried in Portloman grave yard and a great stone was raised over him. It is to be seen now in the gripe in the Church yard. There are marks and lines on the edge of it which scholars who came from Mullingar and other places called it ogham writing.
