    Dublin red up in the sky in the morning,
    A circle round the moon,
    A blue blaze in the fire,
    Streamers from the sun,
    A dog eating grass,
    A cat tearing wood,
    Stars falling,
    Frogs croaking,
    Frogs turning black in colour,
    Sheet lightning at night,
    Swallows flying low.
    Signs of good weather: -
    Sun sets red,
    Swallows flying high,
    Sheep lying in the morning,
    Hills look far away.
