    The Leipreacán is the name given to that fabulous little creature which it is believed lives in dúns and forts and is believed to be in care of a crock of gold.
    He is sometimes seen under large mushrooms or under rocks plying at his trade of shoe-making. He is supposed to be dressed in the following way - a red coat and cap and a knee-briches. His shoes were long and turned up at the toes.
