  1. During my Christmas holidays this year 1938 the thrushes came into our house just at the back door. I never saw them do this before and I heard my father and mother say they never saw such a thing happy before.
    Before we were given the Christmas holidays, thrushes, sparrows, robins and wrens came into the school hall.
