    Once upon a time the Blessed Virgin was travelling to some country.

    big family and the woman gave her the last piece of bread she had in the house. The Blessed Virgin thanked the woman and went her way. When she was going the woman saw the lights of Heaven shining from her. Next day when they got up out of bed her house was full of clothes and food. Ever after that the woman had lots of food and clothes.

    There is a fort in my district situated in the townland of Oghill.

    There is a fort in my district situated in the townland of Oghill. It is circular in shape and is surrounded by a deep trench about six feet wide. There is a big ditch with bushes along it.
    Inside it is level and on one side there are passages running in and out.
    There are three forts in this district. One situated in Oghill another in Clontumpher and the other in Clonmacart. They are situated in view of one another. They are circular in shape and there is a strong fence of earth and trees around each and a large dyke of water.
