    at night and there was no one to make an effort to save the drowning men, as the other three men that were in the yacht could not swim. They sailed to the shore immediately and sent a telegram to the Larkfield barrack which is situated in the parish of Scrabby, Co. Longford from the Post Office which is situated beside the Lake. The police were immediately on the scene and tried to discover the bodies but all was in vain, they could do nothing until next morning when they found the dead bodies about 200 yards from the place where the accident occurred.
