    There are not many Holy Wells around our district, but there is one a few fields from the Moat of Granard, in the town-land of Granard-Kille, in the parish of Granard, Co. Longford in a field belonging to Mr George Burns of Granard. It formerly belonged to Mr. Thomas Doherty (R.I.P.) of Granard.
