After that when the wool is dry. Role oil is poured on it. Then it is teased out and after that carded and made into small rolls.
It is then spun. - When the farmer is about to thatch he first procures scollops and cuts them into lengths about a yard long and points them.
This pointing is done with the aid of a sharp knife as these scollops need a sharp point to go through the roof of the house.
He then pulls the straw into bundles. When the straw is pulled and the scollops pointed he places a ladder up to the house this ladder needs to reach the top of the house.
