    the old road down to Dalystown and the Gortnawillian road leads from the Aughnagarron road into Granard. There is an old saying about a crossroads "A whistling woman and a crowing hen should be left at a four - crossroads".
    There are three mass paths in this district one leading from the Clough road to Carra Chapel and one in the opposite direction leading from Springtown road to Carra chapel and one leading from the Cloughernal road to Carra chapel.

  2. The names of the fields on our farms are as follows.
    The Bottom, the Road field, the High garden, the Hill field, and the three bush garden.
    The three bush garden got its name because three bushes are growing in the centre of it.
