  1. There is a town to the west of Wexford. It derives its name Tigh Munno (The House of Munno") from St Munno who founded his house or monastery here in the 6th century. This monastery here was plundered by the Danes in 917 and was subsequently granted by Dermot Mac Murrough to his abbey at Ferns.
