    Bread.
    Wheaten bread is the most common bread in this part of Co Wexford
    It is made from wheat ground into meal. This bread is baked with buttermilk and cooked in a pan hung over the fire.
    Potato cakes and pancakes are also known.
    Potato cake is made out of peeled boiled potatoes mixed with flour and a little salt and a little bit of soda.
    It is cooked in a frying pan.
    Pancakes are also cooked in a frying pan.
    Oaten cakes are baked in a pan hung over the fire and finished off in front of the fire.
    It is the custom in some houses to bake as much bread in one day as would do for a week
    Some people bake all on
