- There are six graveyards in this parish. In the townland of Kilbride there is a grave-yard called Kilbride grave-yard. There was a church built in that grave-yard by St. Brigid. The ruins of it stand yet but there are no graves in the ruins.
This grave-yard is till used and is square in shape and slopes to the north. There is one old cross in Kilbride made of wood but there are no dates on it.In the old days there was a grave-yard caled Kilcromeen and in it unbaptised babies were supposed to have been buried.
It is in the townland of ErryMaryborough.
Then there is the Protestant grave-yard in which the church is. This grave-yard is leve and there are trees growing in it.
The Roman Catholic grave-yard is beside the Monastery which is in the townland of Kilcoursey. It is level and in the centre of it there is a big cross in memory of Father Bracken. He got that built long before he died and when he died.(continues on next page)- Collector
