  1. One time about six or seven years ago there was found in this district the head, shoulders and legs of a man who was supposed to be buried there in Cromwells time.
One day when men were digging sand out of a sandpit they found it. The men's names were Dan Carroll, John Colgan, John Flynn, Joe Hand, Martin Duffy and Pat Screeny.
the Parish Priest of Kilcormac, who was then Fr, O'Reilly, told them to bury the skeleton in St. Joseph's cemetery and they did so.
