- My grandfather went to Davidstown school. It was a big school and there were two rooms, one went up under the gallery of the present church, and the door was down where the gate is now.
The children used sit in desks. They wrote on slates until they went into third standard and they got copies. There was a black-board in the school, and they used to write down sums for the young children.
