- There are many names given to fields, such as:- The Horse Park, the Raheen, the Piper-stone field.
The "horse-park" got its name because there were Races held there long ago.
The Raheen got its name because there is a rath there, and it was a favourite place for people to bury animals that died.
The "piper-stone" field gets its name because there is a large "piper-stone" at the end of it.
"Toole's field" got its name from a man, named Toole, who owned it.- Collector
