The man had some empty bags in the car and he lapped them around the pony. There were hay-seeds and furze seeds in the bags. When the man came home and let out the pony, the seed began to grow on the pony's back. The furze-seed grew and there was a large furze bush on his back.
There was a shoe-maker named Tom Fitzpatrick, and he was making a ball of wax to make "ends". The pony was grazing opposite the door and Tom saw a hare in the furze bush on the pony's back.(continues on next page)- Collector
