  1. The local landlords were Nesbitt, Annasley, Bell, Farnham and Burrowes.
    Nesbitt gave the site for the Catholic Church and graveyard and also the site for the Parish Priest's house.
    Annasley was a good landlady in comparison with the others.
    Bell was a very treacherous landlord and he evicted many tenants. He was shot by a man named Dolan one Sunday as he was returning home from church.
    Farnham was a very hard landlord on the Catholics and he evicted many tenants.
    During the Famine the Farnham landlord gave dinners ti the Protestants and any Catholics that promised to join the Protestant religion.
    These dinners were called the farnham dinners.
    The Catholics had to go to Farnham every friday for a feed of bacon and if they did not go they were evicted out
