  1. The story I am going to tell you us about my Grand Father Pat Crotty Gower. When he was about twenty five years of age he often cut one acre and a quarter of hay in a day, he used to start at four O clock in the morning and finish at half seven in the evening. He had a nephew that often cut the same amount of hay so he did. His name was Michael Eustace. there were no mowing machines to be had in them times and the people had to cut all the hay with scythes. This happened about sixty years ago.
