- The swallows are migratory birds. They come to us in the summer and in the winter they leave us and fly over sea to other countries. An old legend says that when the robin was standing at the foot of the Cross and a drop of our Lord's Blood fell on her breast and that is why she is called robin red breast. She builds her nest in grass or moss.
"The cuckoo comes in April,
She sings her song in May
In the middle of June
She changes her tune.
And then she flies away."
