These were simply some herbs which they pulled such as dandelion, vinegar leaf, senna-tea, moonogues and garlic.
The dandelion was generally used for stomach trouble and also for drinks. They vinegar leaf was also used for food, and the senna-leaf for sick people, the moonogues for drinks, and the garlic for sore throats.
Weeds found in poor land are the water lily, rushes, whins, and chicken weed, in good land the clover and daisy. Sandy land grows the wild poppy.(continues on next page)- Collector
