tell the rich man he would see him in about an hours time. The elder brother learning that the priest was on his way to see the patient became furious, rushed from the house with loaded gun, and took up a position in the avenue leading to the house. As the priest entered the avenue the angry brother raised the gun in line with his shoulder, drew back the trigger and covered the priest with the muzzle of the gun. As the priest approached within range the gun still held in position but no shot fired. In this position the man and gun remained till the priest dismounted from his horse beside him.
