    from this the parish got its name. The oldest monument which is readable is dated back to 1728. In it is a grave known as the "Priest's Grave". In this grave two brothers are buried, Rev. Alexander McCabe P.P. Lurgan (1754-1774) and Rev Bartle McCabe P.P. Killinkere (1765-1784). It is covered with a huge flat slate underneath which there is a hollow or cavity. It appears that in times gone by large numbers of people came and visited this grave and took for cures the soil from under neath the slab, which explains the hallow, many were cured.
    The old people had it that during the famine a huge pit was opened each night and those who died during the day were put into it coffinless.
    Raffoney graveyard which is situated in the townland of Raffoney is also very ancient. It also has the ruins of an old church in it which were founded by St Brigid. The oldest monument in it is dated 1731.
    Moyologue is by far the oldest
