  1. (1) When you have a head ache if you tie a cloth round your head it is supposed to cure it.
    (2) Ginger and saltpeter are supposed to cure toothache. Hot water put on loaf bread and steeped and them put it on a boil will cure it.
    (4) If you has a sore throat a silk stocking and a basin of cold spring water wet the stocking well and wring it then tie it round your neck.
