- The birds that are most common in my district are pigeons, crows, blackbirds, wrens, and robins. The pigeons, and crows build on the tops of the highest trees they can get, because they know their nests will be destroyed if within easy reach. The pigeons are very destructive birds because they eat the beans, and peas. My father puts up threads to keep them away, and this does not seem to frighten them sometimes.
The wren was the bird showed the soldiers where Our Lord was. The pheasants came and built in a field of ours. The wren is hunted on St Stephen's Day. There is a plover's nest in our farm, and the bird is hatching on the eggs presently- Collector
