- There were poets in the locality. Miss Magee, Miss Brady, and Michael Clerkin Kill Cookhill had a tendency towards poetry. They made a song on the "Muff Boys" condemning them for getting the Kill Boys arrested. They also made a song about the Kill Boys who went singing to gaol. Part of it was. "If you were to see six prisoners marching through Tullyvin town. It would rend the heart of rocks as they chorused all round. The police tried to make them stop as you may plainly see. But God was their protector and so was young Magee." Mr. Smith was a poet. He made a poem about the daughter of the owner of Tullyvin House. The name of the song he made was Miss Diose of famed Tullyvin.
