There are many forts in the vicinity of this school.
One of these forts adjoins my fathers land and is in the townland of Carrickallen.
It is on the land now occupied by
Mrs Casserly
Carrickallen,
Mountain Lodge,
Cootehill,
Co Cavan
and is known as Casserly's fort.
