At St. Lassan's well a pain in a persons back, can be cured by going out under a large-stone which is resting on four other stones.
Rheumatism:-
There were sweat houses for curing rheumatism long-ago. The floors were covered with turf and lighted. When the turf was burned, water was poured in, and in a short while the room was full of steam. Then the sufferer went in and sweated himself.
Another cure for the same disease is to mix a half pound of unsalted lard and a half pint of paraffin oil and rub it on the part of(continues on next page)- Collector
