Great sickness followed the hunger and a great number of people died with "Black Fever". The people were left unburied under ditches and hedges until the wild animals came along and eat them. Most of the people talk of those terrible years when the people died with hunger. The old people say there was no other Famine due to anything since 1846 and 1847.- Collector
