    eaten was oaten bread. The bread was made by mixing the oat-meal with water and making it into a cake, and putting it on a grid-iron before the fire to bake. The kind of meat that was generally eaten was Irish bacon. Sometimes fish was eaten with potatoes. The people never used to eat late at night. At Christmas the people used to get special kinds of food such as tea. They used to eat eggs on Easter Sunday. The people used to used wooden sauspans before cups became common.
