- (continued from previous page)Weight-Thrower. There were also other men who used to throw the half hundred and Patrick Lee of Boston and John Mc - Namara of Spancil Hill and Michael Forde of Tubber these were great weight throwers.
Great Runners. It is said that Markham from Tulla was supposed to be the best runner in Clare and he often ran the mile race
Great Dancers. There were also people great dancers James Burnell of Tubber and Willie Miller of Corofin. These were supposed to be great dancers.
Great Mowers. There were also great mowers and Patrick Conole and Michael Terney often mowed three quarters of an acre each in a day. When they would be mowing together if one went before the other they would crook one another with the scythes the way they would not get beat.(continues on next page)- Collector
