  1. They used to have three meals in the day which consisted of potatoes and Indian meal stirabout, milk, butter, eggs and some times fish. The clothes they used to wear were frieze coats and corduroy trousers and once every three or five years they used get a suit and strong home made linen shirts and strong home made leather shoes and long knitted stockings.
