Children wear white frocks on special occasions such as for first Holy Communion and for Confirmation.Dressmaker. There is only one in the parish and that dress makes. Her name is Miss Rowe. There are handy people who make their own clothes. The measure should be taken once by the dressmaker and the dress fitted twice before finished. When any member of a family dies the nearest relatives wear black clothes as mourning for a certain period of time. After six months they wear what is called second mourning which consists of black relieved with white.
