  1. There was a landlord living in Rathgormack about eight years ago. His name was Tom Norris. When he died his son Ned Norris was the landlord. Ned Norris lives here now but he is not the landlord. He sold the land to the Land Commission. The people did not like Tom Norris because if they would not pay the rent on their houses they would be put out of them. If any of them had a cow or a horse he would take it from them when they could not pay their rent. The people used not pay their rent because they were very poor and the rent was very high. There is a man in Clonea named Pat Quinn. He goes around every month gathering the rent for the Land Commission.
