- There was a Chapel at the back of this school long ago and it was called Bennett's Church. Saint Bennett, one of the followers of St. Patrick, founded it. A friar used come from Clonmel every Sunday to say mass. The five villages, Castlereagh, Graingnagower, Croughateskin, Toureigh and Ballyrohan had to pay twenty pounds a year to him. Then the people had no money and they went to Mass to Four-Mile-Water.
Consequently the Church fell and the school was built.- Informant
