    Where is the rusty wooden bridge,
    Where is the stepping stones,
    That crossed the stream below the field
    To fifty happy homes.
    The bridge has fallen with neglect
    Its stones are washed away.
    The homes are gone by, the tenants fled
    To shelter where they may.
    How tervant laws and landlords
    Drove the people from the soil.
    As if they had no right to live
    Within their native isle.
    As if their fore-fathers had not fought
    And bled through every vein.

    For their own fair Innisfale.
