    You may talk of Dublin city and the
    Giants Causeway too,
    The vale of seet Avoca and the river
    Shannon view.
    The hills around Killarney and the
    scenes around Dublin Bay,
    But they are only simple places
    compared to Loughan Lay.
    This glorious elevation, it seems so
    awful grand.
    To see the hill of Tara, and all
    around Leavy strand.
    The boats at Dundalk harbour and
    them bathing out at Bray.
    And the Hills of Connemara from the
    lovely Loughan Lay.
    On a pleasant evening when youth is at its best
    To see the lads and lassies all coming
