    carrige coming towards her. When it came up to her it stopped and the King asked her who was she or what was she doing. The girl said "She was a poor girl and was dragging a net. The King asked her would she come with him. She consented to go so she got into the carrige and as soon as they reached the castle the marrige was celebrated with great splendour and glee. As soon as the step-mother heard of her good fortune she came to the castle with her daughter and behaved as if she was coming on a visit. But when she got the queen alone, herself and her daughter took her and threw her into the river which ran past. The wicked woman took her ugly daughter and put her in the bed instead of the queen. When the King came in he wished to talk to his wife. But the woman made up excuse that she was asleep.
    The next day the kitchen boy was walking along the river. He saw a white duck on the water. The duck said what are my guests doing The boy answered they all sleep sound. Then the duck asked what is my baby doing
