    calmness. The man proceeded on his journey and he was delighted when he had it finished.
    Here is another story I heard about water horses. One time a man named Mr Mac Williams had a very green field of oats and it had a very nice green [braired?] on it. His farm was situated in the townland of Latt outside Cavan town. Every morning his oats used to be eaten to the stump. This man was getting furious about his oats. He and three other men settled to sit up one night and so they did. The four sat together in one corner of the field. About midnight four beautiful saffron coloured horses came up from the lough which was near the field. The men ran after them and succeeded in catching one of them. The farmer brought the horse home with him and he gave it to his daughter. She
