    Forges.
    There are six forges in the Parish of Tulla.The names of the smiles are Mr.Brassil,Mr.Coughlan,Mr.Reidy and Mr.Degidan in Tulla, and Mr.Reidy in Newgrove and Mr.Dooley in Kiltannon.Some of these smiths,people,have been smiths for years.Some of these forges are near a stream.All of these forges are in the road-side.
    A forge is a middle sized house with a slate roof and a large arch double door.There is a large fire made on top of five or six large flags.
    A bellows is a triangular article
    composed of iron,leather ,and timber. There are two
