    posts of timber stuck in the ground.The bellows is set between the two upright posts,across those is another post to which the bellows is attached.There is a handle attached to this cross bar which works the bellows.
    A smith has to shoe horses and donkeys.When he gets an animal that is not shod before he looks at the animals hoof and judges the size of the shoe he is to make,and he cuts the shoe he is to make off an iron bar called shoeing iron.
    When he has the shoes cut he puts them in the fire and when they are red enough he hammers them until they are fit tobeput on the horse or the animal to be shod.Then he puts them into water to cool. When they are cool he puts them on the animals hoof with nails made specially for the purpose.
    During the frosty weather the smith puts frost nails on the horse.Smiths repair iron gates and the repairs ploughs, he makes axles of cars and he repairs them also.
