Stories of Giants.Many huge rocks are to be seen to the present day at each side of Rathclooney Lake, which is six miles north-east of Ennis. It was supposed that the two giants fought there by throwing rocks at one another. The fight lasted a day and a half and then one was killed with a terrific blow on the stomach.
Near Cappafean, a remote district, which is seven miles north-east of Ennis, is a huge rock, which is split down the centre. This was supposed to have been split by a giant,(continues on next page)
