  1. We have crosses kept in honour of St. Brigid in our house. They are made of two pieces of timber, which are nailed together in the form of a cross. They are made on St. Brigid's Eve, and they are put up on the roofs then.
There are leaves and branches taken into the houses principally holly, ivy, and palm. The holly and ivy are brought in to decorate the houses at Christmas. The Blessed palm is taken home on Palm Sunday and it is put up in the house. We keep some straw which we got at the crib.
