    he started his day in thius manner all he has to do them is take up a bit of clay and rub it between his hands, go to the animals head and hold it to their nostrils and they will sniff it up and as he invoked God's blessing when he started his days work with the clay, he now askes him to steady his horses. He starts off his horses with the clay dust in their nostrils. They start off and by the time they have the clay freed from their nostrils they are settled down to work.
    This is a custom practiced by a good number of old farmers and has never failed.
