    the horses are brought in and the clay is picked out of their hooves and some cow manure is stuffed into them to keep them cool for the night.
    If a horse is looking bad or drying his coat a very lucky thing is to go and cut some young furze and pound them on a flag to break the thorns and mich them with some corn and give him about three feeds a week with it. It improves his coat and condition in a short time.
