Folklore.
The hurlers of long ago were rougher players than the hurlers of to day.They were bigger stronger but not as fast or as clever as the men of today.
Long ago a team was made up of twenty -one men but it is fifteen now.Parishes played against each other for the County -Championship, while the Provinces played against each other for the All Ireland .Championship Hurlers.- Collector
