- There are a good many forts in this district since the time of the Tutha de Dannan's. There is a fort in Natcheur Hogan's farm in Killanana and it is about one mile from the public road.
It is said that when the Tutha de Dannan's were defeated in Ireland they hid themselves in such places now known as forts, and some say that they were the Kings residences long ago. Forts are said to be fairy places. It is said if any person interfered with them(continues on next page)- Collector
