    Folklore.
    Bowling was a great pastime about thirty or forty years ago.
    The boys would assemble in the long summer evenings and Sundays especially.Two or three would play against three.
    The bowling square consisted of of nine holes and the bowly was made of mettle.It was usually played ,40 or 50 yds from a public house ,the game started to know which
