    water with her & I may tell you the crowd was not long in scattering and the garter man had to cut his stick also, but no sooner was he from under the house than he was torn to pieces like a fox with a pack of hounds. Tully got his boots anyway and made towards home making sure that he kept a good hoult on them and looking around every now and then to see if the Garter man was in sight, but the poor Garter man was half dead above on the street and hardly a stitch on him.
